Weapons of Spiritual Warfare
|
The heart above all is deceitful, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? When my enemies,
even my foes come upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumble and fall (Psalm 27:2). For the Lord said, "sit right here
while I make your enemies your footstool (Psalm 110:1). Glory to God! Thank you Jesus!
The Weapons of Our Warfare Are Not Carnal (2 Corinthians 10:4).
- Know what the Word of God says. God’s people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6, Isaiah 5:13).
- Have faith in God's Word.
- Trust God's Word. Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and with all thy mind. Lean not to your own
understanding but in every way acknowledge the Lord and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
- Believe that God is not a man that He would lie (Numbers 23:19). If God said it in His Word, if it is in the
Bible, God will do it. Whatever you pray, the Lord will hear and answer your prayer if you are praying
according to God's will--if you are living according to God's will. God will do it for you. Jesus said, "whatever
you ask the Father in my name, He will do it for you" (John 14:13-26, John 16:23-33) God will operate on your
behalf. But first you must come before God believing that He is God, and that He is a rewarder of them who
diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
- The devil is already whipped. Learn how to become skilled in fighting negative influences by bringing the
members of your flesh under subjection to the Word of God (1 Corinthians 9:27).
- Stand still and see your salvation in the Lord.
- Humble yourself. Do not think more highly of yourself than you ought to think (Romans 12:3).
- Victory is in Jesus.
- Be separated and come from among them (2 Corinthians 6:17). The world is not your friend. If you make a
mistake confess your sins and the Lord will forgive you.
- Know the devils' tactics and strategies. (Visit Praise the Lord! Ministry's blog.)
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Lean not to your own understanding
but in every way acknowledge the Lord and He will direct your path (Ephesians 6:10).
Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5). The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes
much (James 5:16).
The devil is defeated, not because of anything that we do, but because of what God has already done. The Lord is
the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He has orchestrated every battle that comes our way. He has
ordained the battle and hand-picked it just for us. The battle is not our battle. It is God's battle. All we have to do is
stand, trust, and believe.
Don't let the devil fool you or put thoughts into your head. "Oh, God's not going to do anything for you, God's not real
or you wouldn't be going through what you are going through." The Bible tells us that Satan is a liar and the great
deceiver. The Bible tells us that in this world we shall have tribulation but to be of good cheer (John 16:33). God
through His son Jesus, has overcome the world, Satan, death, hell and the grave and any attack of the enemy that
will come up against you.
The number one tactic or trick of those who hate you is to keep you distracted, to keep you focused on the attack, to
keep you in the muck and the mire fighting an enemy who has already lost the battle. The only joy the devil gets out
of life is to destroy the life of another human being. The devil does not care about whether the person is a born again
believer, Buddhist, Muslim, Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, Apostolic, agnostic, atheist, or whatever. However, if
you are a born again believer the attack is to prevent you from fulfilling the purpose of God in your life. The attack of
the enemy is to subvert the Word of God, to prevent the Word of God from going forth, to delay, block or stop the
message of salvation. Continue to press toward the mark to win the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus
(Philippians 3:14). The Lord wants to work through you and in you. The Lord knew His plans for you before you were
conceived in your mother's womb (Jeremiah 1:5).
Who are you going to believe -- Jesus Christ or the devil?
